Emergency Services

College View Veterinary Clinic makes every effort to provide emergency care services during office hours when possible. If you have an emergency, please call 910-346-4212 before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
When should you seek emergency care for your pet? The easiest answer as to whether you should seek emergency care for your pet is when you feel his or her medical condition is serious and cannot wait. However, the following general situations should help you determine if you need to seek emergency care for your pet:
- • Difficulty breathing
- • Acute abdominal swelling
- • Electric shock
- • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
- • Bleeding
- • Exhibits symptoms of heat stroke
- • Seizures
- • Sudden onset of weakness
- • High or low temperature (more than 104 or less than 100 degrees)
- • Unable to urinate or defecate
In the event that we are not able to see your pet during office hours, or if you have an emergency outside of our regular hours, we refer patients to nearby emergency clinics.
