College View Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of comprehensive diagnostic lab services under one roof. Our in-house diagnostic capability provides pet owners in Jacksonville, Hampstead, Surf City, Emerald Isle, and Hubert with on-site routine testing to determine your pet’s overall health. Our pets cannot tell us when something is wrong, in fact, they instinctively hide their abnormalities. Diagnostic tests can indicate a condition that may not be obvious from the outside.

Our in-house diagnostic capabilities enable us to conduct complete blood counts (CBCs) and full chemistry panels, measure liver and kidney function, and perform thyroid and adrenal gland testing. We also test for heartworms, perform fecal analysis and urinalysis, and more.

We can run in-house blood work for sick patients and process the results in 20-30 minutes. We also have radiography and ultrasound available in-house that allows us to take clear, accurate images quickly and efficiently. This quick turnaround time means that we can provide a diagnosis and treatment right away for critical cases or patients with injuries. That’s all the better for quickly getting your pet back to normal.

Results from diagnostic testing can detect infection and anemia, determine electrolyte status and hydration levels, evaluate kidney, liver, and pancreas function, screen for thyroid disease, and check blood sugar levels.
